A new software update is available now for your Google Pixel Watch

The July 2024 update for Pixel Watch models is currently being rolled out. This update, while not bringing any new features, fixes, or enhancements, provides the latest security patch level for improved device security. The rollout will happen in phases and is expected to reach all Pixel Watch devices over the next week. This update is compatible with both Pixel Watch 1 and Pixel Watch 2, with the software version being TWD9.240705.001.A1.

In comparison, the recent June 2024 update and feature drop brought several significant updates for Pixel Watch users, including car crash detection, enhanced fall detection, and improvements for users with tattoos. However, it was previously reported that the June update might cause battery drain issues, but it’s not yet clear if the July update addresses this concern.

To check for and install the update on your Pixel Watch, navigate to Settings > System > System updates. You may be prompted to place your watch on the charger during the update process. To speed up the update process, you can try opening the update page on your Pixel Watch and repeatedly tapping the watch icon to refresh the page.

It’s worth mentioning that the Pixel Watch 2, powered by the latest Snapdragon processor, is considered one of the best Android smartwatches on the market. It offers impressive performance, a multitude of features, Fitbit integration, and consistent monthly updates.
