Acclaimed theme park management sim Parkitect hits consoles this week

Parkitect is a theme park management simulation game developed by Texel Raptor, which was initially released on PC in 2016. After undergoing several updates, the game received a polished 1.0 release in 2018. On July 3, 2022, Parkitect will be released on Xbox and PlayStation consoles as the Deluxe Edition, featuring an updated UI and a new control scheme designed for controllers.

Parkitect follows the classic theme park management sim formula, where players aim to build a park that is so delightful that guests can’t help but spend money. Despite not having the same visual appeal as Planet Coaster, Parkitect offers a rich management core, powerful construction tools, a robust campaign mode, and strategic elements like the need to build and maintain an efficient intra-park delivery system.

The Deluxe Edition of Parkitect includes the base game, as well as the two DLC expansions, Booms & Blooms and A Taste of Adventure. These expansions add new themed scenery sets, rides, and features such as fireworks display sequencing. Parkitect: Deluxe Edition will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on July 3, 2022. Additionally, Texel Raptor recently announced its second game, Croakwood, a frog-themed town building and management game, which is set to release on PC in the future.
