Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch lineup, the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 7, has recently leaked, revealing their specifications and higher price tags. According to a report by Dealabs, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is rumored to have a large 47mm size (47.4 x 47.1 x 12.1mm) and weigh 60.5g, making it slightly larger and heavier than the biggest Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The watch is said to be made of titanium, featuring a 1.5-inch AMOLED display under sapphire glass, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 590 mAh battery with wireless charging. The Galaxy Watch Ultra is expected to have water resistance up to 10ATM and will be available in “Titanium Grey,” “Titanium Silver,” and “Titanium White” colors.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is expected to retail for €699 in France, a €250 markup from the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic’s current price. The 4G-capable model is reported, but it’s unclear if it will be available in other regions.
Galaxy Watch 7, on the other hand, appears to be quite similar to its predecessor. The smartwatch is said to come in 40mm (40.4 x 40.4 x 9.7mm) and 44mm (44.4 x 44.4 x 9.7mm) sizes, with 300 mAh and 425 mAh batteries, respectively. Both models are said to have 5ATM water resistance, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. The Galaxy Watch 7 will reportedly be available in “Green” and “Cream” colors for the 40mm size, and “Green” and “Silver” for the 44mm size.
The new chip in both devices is called Exynos W1000, Samsung’s first 3nm chip to hit the market. Both smartwatches are also said to be powered by Wear OS 5.
Reservations for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, Watch 7, and Watch Ultra are now open on Samsung.com, with a $50 credit for reservation and potential savings of up to $1,500. The reservation process is free and does not obligate the purchase of any devices, and it also enters participants into a sweepstakes for a $5,000 Samsung credit.
