Pokémon Go 8th Anniversary event: End date and full list of rewards

The Pokémon Go 8th Anniversary event was held from Friday 28th June until Wednesday 3rd July at 8pm local time. During the event, certain Pokémon, such as Pikachu, Eevee, and Bulbasaur, appeared in party hats in the wild and when caught, making them much more festive. An increased chance to find Lucky Friends, Lucky Pokémon when trading, and quicker gaining of friendship levels were some of the perks for trainers joining the celebration.

Participation in the event offered players the exciting opportunity to catch various Pokémon who wore party hats, including smaller Pokémon like Wurmple finding themselves in oversized versions of the festive headpieces. Field Research tasks were modified to fit the event’s theme, often rewarding players with first-partner Pokémon encounters like Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil or Mudkip.

Several Timed research tasks were available to complete during the occasion, offering trainers XP and Stardust rewards together with encounters featuring hat-decorated Pokémon. The first part of the free Timed Research had rewards such as Meltan meetings, while the paid Premium variation offered incentives like Lucky Eggs, Incubators, Lucky trades, and Super Incubators.

The mystery boxes were accessible more frequently during this event, offering trainers a substantial chance of encountering a Shiny Meltan. As the last day of the Pokémon Go 8th Anniversary Party event approach, trainers have until Wednesday evening to collect rewards and complete Pokémon-hunting tasks themed around the special event.
