Samsung Reportedly Trying to Take Down Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6 Images Ahead of Unpacked

Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for July 10, and the company has come close to confirming leaked images of its upcoming devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. These foldable devices, anticipated to be Samsung’s innovative alternatives to tablets and smartphones, are not expected to be as widely sold as the flagship Galaxy S24 series.

Evan Blass, a well-known industry leaker, published purported marketing images of these devices last week, which were then reportedly met with takedown requests by Samsung under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. This move, while seeking the removal of the leaked content, often serves to verify the authenticity of leaks, as companies often argue that the copyrighted images were published without permission.

Apart from the foldable devices, Samsung is expected to announce its Galaxy Ring wearable body sensor at the event. This product is intended to compete with devices like the $299 Oura Ring. Additionally, upgraded smartwatches, including a premium version similar to the $799 Apple Watch Ultra, may also be announced during the event.

As the event approaches, Samsung and its partner sellers are offering deals for customers reserving a device before the Unpacked event, with potential savings of up to $1,500. The company is also offering lower prices for the existing Galaxy Flip 5 through various wireless carriers.
