Ayanda Vabaza-Mvandaba, a self-proclaimed serial entrepreneur, is currently leading the non-alcoholic beverage e-commerce company, Drink Nil. In this role, she charts the strategic direction for the company, aligning business goals with market trends and emerging opportunities. Apart from Drink Nil, Ayanda is also a consultant under Kwandiso Consulting, the managing partner of Youth Bridge, and the co-founder of the Langa Siphe Foundation.
Youth Bridge, a program powered by Christel House South Africa, is one of Ayanda’s most significant initiatives. This program aims to bridge the gap between unemployed youth in townships and their untapped potential, connecting them to the workforce. The program not only provides earning and learning opportunities but also offers essential financial support, enabling young participants to sustain their job search and successfully enter the workforce.
Ayanda is deeply committed to community-based projects and credits her success to numerous mentors and role models who have championed her name, offered support, guidance, and been unwavering allies in her corner. Her mother, a magistrate and one of the best in her field, has been a significant influence, showing Ayanda what it means to be excellent.
Ayanda is excited about the potential of non-alcoholic beverages to revolutionize social gatherings, promote healthier lifestyles, and offer inclusive options for those who choose not to consume alcohol. She is driven by the desire to leave a lasting legacy, not just of financial success, but of empowerment, opening doors for women, black, and marginalized people, and building tables where everyone has a seat.
