Disney Theme Park Location Closes Doors, No Guests Allowed in Until 2025 – Inside the Magic

Disneyland Paris, one of the most visually stunning theme parks owned by The Walt Disney Company, has closed one of its popular attractions, Boardwalk Candy Palace, for a significant refurbishment that will last until 2025. The candy shop, known for its wide variety of tasty treats, is described by Disney as “the ultimate fantasy sweet shop” and a “treasure trove of tasty delights.”

The closure of Boardwalk Candy Palace is part of Disneyland Paris’ ongoing transformation, which also includes the renaming of Walt Disney Studios Park to Disney Adventure World. This change aims to better fit the park within its next chapter and position it as the resort’s premier destination. Disney Adventure World already houses some of Disneyland Paris’ most popular rides and attractions, with more exciting projects in the pipeline, such as a rumored land based on The Lion King.

Disneyland Paris originally opened in 1992 with only one theme park, Disneyland Park. In 2002, it expanded with the addition of Walt Disney Studios Park, which was designed to resemble the classic Hollywood stylings of Disney’s Hollywood Studios park in Florida. The park transported guests into a bustling film set, complete with camera and lighting equipment, and a variety of attractions that aimed to immerse guests in the world of moviemaking.

It’s unclear what changes will be made during the refurbishment of Boardwalk Candy Palace or when it will reopen. The Disneyland Paris Resort initially only featured one theme park, Disneyland Park, but with growth and transformation, it has evolved significantly over the decades, adding new areas, attractions, and experiences for guests. Despite the closures and changes, Disneyland Paris remains a popular destination for visitors worldwide.
