Kibeco, a Dutch company, specializes in creating memorable experiences by providing rental animatronics to theme parks, zoos, and museums. These animatronics help these institutions offer educational and engaging side events for their guests.
Tim Lammers, the founder of Kibeco, previously worked as a marketing manager at Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem, Netherlands, for ten years. He saw an opportunity to bring unique and immersive experiences to children and other visitors, using his experience, knowledge, and network in the leisure industry. Lammers started organizing events with life-like animatronics of dinosaurs and big insects, which led to requests from other parks to host similar side events.
Kibeco offers a full package for these events, including the animatronics, transportation, content for signing, and ideas for activities. The animatronics range from ice-age animals, dinosaurs, and big insects, such as wasps, ladybugs, ants, and mosquitoes. These animatronics move and make sounds, providing a realistic and educational experience for visitors. Kibeco also assists with the concept setup to ensure the exposition’s backstory is accurate and the overall experience is immersive.
In addition to providing animatronics, Kibeco focuses on the educational potential of its exhibitions. Lammers aims to provide guests with new facts and an exciting, educational, and fun day out. Kibeco has also partnered with ThisPlays, a leading photobooth provider in Europe, to add Kibeco’s themes to their photobooths. This partnership has proven successful, with Kibeco’s photo frame being chosen 63% of the time.
Currently, Kibeco operates primarily in the Dutch market but has ambitions to expand abroad. The company sees a growing need for innovative and educational side events in zoos, theme parks, and museums, as these institutions seek to attract new visitors and provide fresh experiences for returning ones. Kibeco plans to increase the scope of its immersive exhibitions in the upcoming years.
