Merger of Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain Parent Companies

The parent companies of Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain, Cedar Fair and Six Flags, have agreed to an $8 billion merger, creating a North American amusement park juggernaut.

Season Pass Changes Following the Merger

Season passholders of Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain will no longer be able to use their passes to gain entry to both parks following the merger. However, the newly merged company, Six Flags, is considering introducing new season passes that would provide access to all 27 amusement parks and 15 water parks in the expanded chain.

Future Season Pass Options

While there are no plans to offer a new season pass with access to all parks in 2024, the company believes there may be an opportunity in the future to offer expanded park access to season pass holders. Fans are encouraged to keep an eye on the parks’ websites for updates on season passes and all-park access options.

Current Season Pass Limitations

It’s important to note that 2024 Cedar Fair season passes cannot be used to gain entry into Six Flags parks, and vice versa. This also applies to all-season dining passes, drink plans, front-of-line passes, parking plans, photo passes, and other perks and rewards.
