Pennsylvania amusement park receives national recognition

Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, has been named the favorite traditional amusement park by the National Amusement Park Historical Association (NAPHA) for the 12th consecutive year. The Phoenix at Knoebels was also chosen as the favorite wood roller coaster by NAPHA members for the same period.

In addition, Hersheypark’s Wildcat’s Revenge roller coaster was recognized as one of the Best New Attractions in 2023. NAPHA members, who are experienced riders, visited amusement parks around the world and have ridden a diverse assortment of roller coasters and other rides. On average, each member has been to over 100 different amusement parks and has ridden approximately 344 roller coasters. In 2023, members went to an average of 14 amusement parks.
