The Startup World Cup, the largest startup competition globally, is set to hold a qualifier event in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in August. This competition is organized by Pegasus Ventures from California and regional organizations worldwide. The winner of the regional competitions will advance to the grand finale in San Francisco.

Startup Junkie, a local company, is hosting this event in Northwest Arkansas. The interest shown by Pegasus Ventures in hosting a regional event in Arkansas is a testament to the progress being made in entrepreneurship in the region and the state.

Winning the Startup World Cup would be a significant opportunity for any startup, as it offers an investment of $1 million. Talley, the Executive Director of Startup Junkie, emphasizes the importance of such opportunities for entrepreneurs in Northwest Arkansas.

To participate, interested parties are required to fill out an application on the competition’s website, where they will upload a pitch deck for their startup or startup idea. The applicants will then be narrowed down by judges to 10, who will compete in person.
