On July 18th, 2024, at 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM ET, a special 90-minute DE Masterclass Roundtable will be held, focusing on the practical aspects of preparing for and defending an OFCCP audit. The roundtable will be led by DirectEmployers Executive Director Candee Chambers and will feature a panel of experts, including Dana Deason of J.B. Hunt Transport and current President of DE’s Board of Directors, Chris Liakos of EY and past President of DE’s Board of Directors, and John C. Fox, Esq., Partner, Fox, Wang & Morgan P.C.
The panelists have extensive experience with OFCCP audits and will share their insights on various issues related to the audit process. Topics to be covered include:
1. The importance of reacting quickly to the OFCCP’s Corporate Scheduling Announcement List (CSAL) notification of upcoming audits, similar to an Olympic sprinter at the starting blocks.
2. Changes in the rules of engagement since OFCCP first began CSAL notifications.
3. Preparing for the receipt of OFCCP’s Audit Scheduling Letter after the CSAL, including what to do if the company believes it was selected in error or in violation of its Fourth Amendment Rights.
4. The advantages and disadvantages of refining data submissions to OFCCP in response to the Audit Scheduling Letter and attached “Itemized Listing.”
5. Understanding OFCCP’s use of the term “Indicator” and why it is significant.
6. The pros and cons of a contractor explaining away potential “Indicators” in advance.
7. The three “Money Issues” in OFCCP audits.
8. The importance of the three formal and distinct stages of OFCCP Compliance Reviews for contractors.
9. Interactive questions and answers between participants and the panel.
This Masterclass promises to provide valuable insights and practical advice for companies facing an OFCCP audit.
