Jaimie Alexander in Workout Gear Shares Upper-Body Workout

Jaimie Alexander, the actress known for her role in Blindspot, recently shared a workout video on her social media, showcasing her fit physique while performing a strenuous routine. In the caption, she expressed her commitment to staying strong, stating “Stronger…one day at a time.”

In terms of her lifestyle habits, Alexander emphasizes the importance of good snacking food due to her long workdays. She prefers quick, energy-giving snacks that can be consumed between scenes. While she allows herself the occasional treat, such as fresh chocolate chip cookies, she believes that healthy eating should be a part of one’s lifestyle, not a chore.

For breakfast, Alexander typically consumes a cup of coffee with almond milk and a protein smoothie made with vegan protein powder and almond milk. Lunch might consist of scrambled eggs with mushrooms, spinach, cheese, and pesto, served with a corn tortilla and a dash of Vegenaise. Her snacks include Organic Avenue juice with cucumber, kale, and celery, fruit, an arugula salad, a chocolate chip cookie, raw almonds, and veggies with hummus dip. Dinner could be a piece of salmon, steamed broccoli, carrots, green beans, and veggies with Earth Balance spread and a dash of pink salt.

Hydration is another priority for Alexander. She drinks approximately 3 liters of water daily, which is important for various reasons, including waste elimination, maintaining a normal temperature, and lubricating joints, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Alexander’s fitness journey began when she was preparing for her role in Thor. She admitted to being unhealthy in her twenties, consuming a lot of unhealthy food, and weighing 150 pounds. However, after landing the role, she felt a new purpose and started boxing with Chris Hemsworth. This led to a significant weight loss of 20 pounds and a gain in muscle mass.

In her workout video, Alexander performs 21s, weighted pushups, and upright rows. She also mentions that, although not shown in the video, she also does bench press, push downs, chin-ups, face-pulls, lateral raises, and standing cable flys. Strength and weight training, as recommended by the Mayo Clinic, can help reduce body fat, increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. It can also develop strong bones, manage weight, enhance quality of life, manage chronic conditions, and sharpen thinking skills.
