Android 15 is approaching, and various manufacturers are preparing their versions of the operating system, with Samsung’s One UI being one of the most anticipated. Despite delays, Samsung is expected to release the beta version of One UI 7 around the third week of August, following the release of One UI 6.1.1, which is expected to include new camera features and Galaxy AI capabilities.
One UI 7 is set to bring a significant redesign to Samsung phones, featuring completely redrawn icons and a Material You-like palette changer. The new UI will also incorporate elements from both Google and Apple, such as rounder UI edges and a new quick settings panel.
Recently, Samsung released the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, but the reception has been lukewarm due to increasing competition. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is a great phone, but it may not be as easily recommended as previous models due to the increased competition. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 may receive a small revision in Asia later in 2024 with a slim model, but it will be limited in production and only half a millimeter thinner.
If foldable phones are not of interest, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is a good alternative for those in the market for a new Samsung phone. In addition, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was recently used in a pilot program with police officers in Missouri as body cameras.
